Sovereignty Dialogue with Idle No More
Friday, January 11th, 2013.
The Idle No More founders and organizers are pleased to announce a one day national dialogue with Indigenous Chiefs including hereditary Chiefs to discuss Water, Land, Sovereignty and Treaty Relationships. We are also inviting 1 or 2 representatives from each community to join us.
The purpose of this one day event is to work towards understanding the grassroots movement known as Idle No More, and to gain the perspectives of Chiefs. This movement seeks to affirm self-determination and Indigenous sovereignty and protection of the land and water.
Outcome: a statement of understanding will be co-issued by the INM and the Chiefs in attendance.
When: Friday January 11, 2013
Time: 11:00am-4:00pm
Where: Ft. Qu’Appelle, Treaty 4 Governance Centre, Tipi room and by live streaming and virtual participation.
